| Team work exercises: A wide variety of indoor and outdoor activities develop listening, problem solving, leadership, delegation, time management, decision making and information processing skills. We can provide activities that focus on general teamwork, and draw out the issues within a group, or we can provide activities that focus specifically on issues identified by us, you or the group. All activities are reviewed and the outcomes reflected on, with the aim of recognising positive actions, as well as areas that require development. Adventure Activities: Rock Steady is licensed in accordance with the Adventure Activities Licensing Regulations 2004, to provide Adventure Activities under the headings; Caving, Climbing, Trekking & Watersports, and recognises the value of adventure as a development tool for young people. Adventure activities in isolation, however, only provides the opportunity for personal development, personal goals to be achieved. Whilst this is of great importance, with the right approach, and an experienced training team, adventure can provide the foundation for a development experience that goes beyond building self confidence, and onto developing problem solving, teamwork, leadership and decision making skills. The review process enables young people to draw on their full learning experience from adventure-based scenarios, and link them back to their own lives. In short, “experience is not what you do, it’s what you do with what you do. Scenario-based Challenges: Linking teamwork exercises and adventure activities through a scenario enables a group to sub-divide, manage their own resources and complete a range of activities, all for one single goal. This demonstrates how each individual has an impact on the outcome for a whole team, and that every team requires all their members to work effectively, and be happy. Issues surrounding effective and appropriate communication, conflict, leadership, time management and punctuality, team rules and decision making can all be addressed through learner-lead reviews, which take place throughout the challenge. Scenario-based Challenges can run for 4 hours or 5 days, or anywhere in between, and we will happily write a scenario that links with your Centre, or the venue where the scenario is being run. These challenges are most effective during either a full day, or residential programme. | | Price: | £55* | | Location: | Yorkshire & Peak District | | Capacity: | Max 65 | | Dates: | Contact Us for Availability | | Duration: | To Suit | | Brochure: | NA | | *From £45 [Price reduction for schools & youth groups of up to 45% ] | | | |
