Rock Steady Adventure has been providing outdoor activity programmes and residential camps in Nidderdale since 1997. Nidderdale offers a fantastic range of activities in accessible yet isolated locations. It can offer diverse facilities for personal or group development as well as purely fun-oriented programmes. Our tented camp is located in the heart of the dale and offers excellent on-site facilities and a unique outdoors experience.

The campsite is situated close to How Stean Gorge and is surrounded by hills and meadows. Night skies are very dark and alive with stars, and there is a real feeling of remoteness – an adventure in itself for city children. The camp caters for up to 64 young people for either two and a half or five day adventures. All the may activities are either run from the camp or are just a short drive away.

All schools which book a residential programme with Rock Steady Adventure are entitled to a visit from our field staff to discuss the programme, the activities included and deal with any specific questions.

Rock Steady Adventure is licensed by the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA), in accordance with the Adventure Activity Licensing Regulations 2004, to provide Adventure Activities under the headings Trekking, Caving, Climbing & Watersports.
