PALACE HOTEL
QUICK DETAILS

Welcome to The Palace Hotel - a fairy tale Victorian building overlooking the beautiful spa town of Buxton.

It doesn't matter how you travel to the Palace, it's easy to get here by car, train or plane. Just on the edge of the UK's first National Park, they used to call this breathtaking part of the world The English Switzerland. You'll be able to explore rugged heather-clad moorlands, go walking over the rolling dales of White Peak and Dovedale or take a bike ride through endless stretches of beautiful countryside. Chatsworth House, recently used in the filming of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, is on your doorstep and you can have family fun at the epic Alton Towers.

Where do you stay to enjoy all this? The Palace has been around since 1868. It's magnificent exterior was designed by Henry Currey, architect to the Duke of Devonshire in his time. The interior is equally as exquisite and the Palace's people are all extremely friendly and helpful. This is what ensures guests return here year after year.

The hotel exudes classical elegance and all 122 bedrooms including 4 suites are tastefully furnished with all the modern features you would expect in a four-star hotel; a trouser press, tea and coffee making facilities, a hairdryer and toiletries in case you forget your own and 24-hour room service.

If you're feeling energetic, make the most of the excellent Bodysense Health & Leisure Club which has a 14m swimming pool, a fitness suite, a sauna and steam rooms. It's free for you to use as a guest. As part of a recent £300k refurbishment at the Palace, three brand new Bodysensual beauty rooms have been opened, offering you a selection of soothing and relaxing beauty treatments.
