Rock Steady Adventure's commitment to
safety is second to none. We aim to provide quality developmental
training programmes which benefit both the delegates and the organisations
for which they work. This can not be achieved if there are any concerns
over safety.
Rock Steady Adventure has been awarded a Licence under
the Adventure Activities Licensing Regulations 2004, to provide
adventure activities under the following categories: Watersports,
Trekking, Climbing, Caving. This licence is only a legal requirement
for the provision of such activities to under 18s, but as a
demonstration of our commitment to safety, Rock Steady Adventure sought
to become licensed, and follow the guidance of the Adventure Activities
Licensing Authority for all groups participating in such activities.
Rock Steady Adventure is also campaigning for an extension to the
existing licensing scheme to cover all age groups.
More information on the AALA licensing scheme can be found on their
web site.
All technical staff are qualified and experience in the activities
available. All equipment is checked and logged regularly and suspect
equipment is immediately excluded from further use.
The full Rock Steady Adventure Safety Policy is available to view
by request.
Rock Steady Adventure was inspected by the Licensing
Authority in March 2006, as part of the on-going regulatory process to
ensure quality and safety in the provision of Adventure
Activities.
