These ratios relate to technically qualified
staff. Accompanying staff will assist in general group control.
For all In Scope Adventure Activities the Instructor / Participant
ratio will not exceed 1:8.
The following table shows the range of instructor:participant ratios
for each group.

Certain activities will require smaller ratios:
Trekking, on-foot & mountain bike: For remote or high areas
the ratio will be no greater than 1:6.
Certain activities will have a higher ratio:
For archery, initiative exercises, problem solving tasks and orienteering
(fixed sites with clearly de-lineated boundaries) the ratio will
be no greater than 1:12. For sailing / windsurfing the ratio will
not exceed 1 instructor to 6 boats / boards.
